Children’s Christian Education

Pastor Tom giving the children’s message

Jesus said “Let the children come to me and do not stop them for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14.  At Christ Our Savior we embrace this teaching gladly!

Sunday school is offered at both the 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. worship services from September through May. Children 4K-6th grade worship with their families until they are invited to the altar for a children’s message, after which they are dismissed to Sunday school. Here they will learn about God’s love and promises in a kid-friendly format that includes art, music, games, stories, prayer, and offerings. While our Sunday school coordinator leads a large group opening, parent volunteers are called to lead small group time. Download the 2016-17 Sunday School registration form.

Vacation Bible School is offered this summer from Monday, June 20 thru Thursday, June 23, 2016, from Noon – 2:30 p.m. Kids entering pre-K thru 5th grade are invited to join us, while older kids are encouraged to participate as junior leaders. We will begin each day with a kid friendly lunch and then spend the afternoon on an underground adventure right in our church while we learn about following Jesus, the Light of the World, while we sing, play, craft, eat, and pray! There is no registration fee so invite your friends and neighbors!! Click here to see a video of one of our activities.

For planning purposes, we do ask that you complete a VBS registration form and return it to moc.c1524107862lsoc@1524107862mik1524107862.

The “Praise Raisers” is our children’s choir. Anyone 4K-6th grade is welcome to join. We practice Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. in the chapel and share our musical offering often in worship.

Service is for all ages and children are no exception at COS. Throughout the Sunday school year we provide Sunday school children will many opportunities to serve God by loving others. This can include a wide range of activities from making greeting cards for the elderly in Sunday school to collecting toilet paper in the fall and toiletries in the spring for those in need.
