First Communion

First Holy Communion Class is open to all students in grades 3-5.

At the table of our Lord, Jesus Chris, we are nourished and fed with God’s love and grace. Please complete the class registration form by clicking the “Register Now” button below.

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”  –  Matthew 26:26-28

First Communion Class Schedule 2024

We invite all parents to take part along with their child(ren) in the instruction and preparation for receiving their 1st Holy communion.

Saturday, March 9th – 9-10:30 am
Meet in Fellowship Hall. During our first meeting we will design and paint chalices that the children will use during the first communion ceremony. We ask that each child bring a wine style glass with them that they would like to use for their chalice. The rest of the class, we will begin to explore the sacrament of Holy communion.

Saturday, March 16th – 9-10:30 am
Meet in Fellowship Hall. During this class time we will be making and baking bread that will be used for Holy Communion distribution on Sunday. We will learn more about the Lord’s Supper and walk through what will take place during the worship on Sunday, March 17th.

Sunday, March 17th – 9:15 am worship service
1st Holy Communion Celebration
Please feel free to invite grandparents, baptismal sponsors, Aunts, Uncles, and anyone else who may be an important person in your child’s life to support them and celebrate with them on this memorable occasion.
