Community Banquet

Thursday, October 23, 2014
Please join us Thursday, October 23 for the Community Banquet held at St. James Catholic Church on Townline Road in Menomonee Falls. Christ Our Savior is responsible for COOKING and SERVING that night and we could use your help as we prepare dinner for 200. If you are available, sign up on the sheet located down the west hallway. We’re usually in the kitchen by 3:30 p.m. and more hands are needed by 4:30 p.m. for last minute prep and the 5:30 p.m. serving time. Join some other friendly folks with willing hands and make a difference in your neighborhood. If you have any questions, call Diane Otto at (262) 691-3778. Thank you and we hope to see you there!

A Thanksgiving Feast

The Cooperating Churches of Sussex is hosting a Thanksgiving Feast.  The dinner will be prepared and served by the adults and youth from the Cooperating Churches of Sussex of which Christ Our Savior is a part.  The dinner is an opportunity for our youth and congregation communities to serve our area seniors

We are asking parishioners of the Cooperating Churches of Sussex if they would be able to help in providing some of the food for our annual Thanksgiving Feast. We are serving the traditional Thanksgiving foods, so these are the items we will need:

  • Turkey (Cooked & sliced)
  • Pie, bars, cake, cookies
  • Jar(s) of pickles
  • 13 x 9 prepared pan of stuffing
  • Dozen rolls
  • Container(s) of Cool Whip
  • Jar(s) of Gravy
  • 10 lbs of potatoes (peeled & sliced)
  • Large bag(s) of frozen green beans
  • Large bag(s) of frozen corn
  • Large can of sweet potatoes
  • Jar(s) of Olives
  • Jar(s) of Applesauce

Please contact Diana at 253-2235 or email her at if you can donate an item and the quantity. This helps us keep track of what is still needed for the dinner.  If you prefer to fill out a form with items you can bring, check out under Announcements or pick up a form in the hallway.

***Please drop off food donations at St. James between 9 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22 and mark your item “Thanksgiving Feast”. Thank you for your help.
