EDUCATION
Objective: To teach everyone about the love of God and how it makes a difference in our lives. Sunday School
RALLY DAY is the first Sunday after Labor Day. We start our year with lots of fun and celebration. Classes are offered for children 4 years old through 6th grade during our 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. services. We also offer Baby Sunday School for infants through 3 years old with a parent.
Our 5th graders are prepared for Holy Communion through separate classes on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. during Lent.
Confirmation
We offer a 2-year program to students in 7th and 8th grades. Classes meet three times a month on Sunday evenings from 6:15 until 8:00 p.m. and are in session September through April.
Instruction uses music, games, skits, lecture, small group discussion, service and fellowship to open our kids to Christ. One year covers the Bible and one year covers the Lutheran Catechism, which includes: The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, and The Apostles' Creed.
HIGH SCHOOL CONFIRMATION
If your child is in high school, has not been confirmed, and wants to be, you are welcome to work out a study program that will fit your needs. Our church calendar fills up fast, so parents need to contact the church office to find out details and register if their student is interested.
Adult Education
"THE FAITH FACTORY", our Tuesday morning study group, meets at 10:30 a.m. for one hour to view and discuss faith based movies on DVD.
MEN’S BREAFAST & STUDY - All men of faith are invited for breakfast the second Thursday of each month during the school year. The group meets at 7 a.m. We will explore questions of how being saved by Christ impact our lives in families, in daily work, recreation, use of our gifts, and much more. Come check it out!
THE HOME BIBLE STUDY - We offer a Home Bible Study that you can follow on your own! The installments are available at church in the narthex, or even easier, right here at our website!
LUTHERAN INSTRUCTION is offered in a 4-part seminar, once a year, to those coming to us from non-Lutheran backgrounds, or if you just want a "refresher course". This is a fascinating series called "What Lutheran’s Believe". Call the church office to see when the next series begins.
